Health. Sounds good to me!
Dr. Johanna Budwig died in 2003, but left an important body of work that should not and will not be forgotten. Her nephew, Dr. Armin Grunewald, has helped to ensure that Dr. Budwig's work on the positive effects of natural omega-3 derived from plants can be continued. Dr. Johanna Budwig campaigned against industrially produced trans-fats and the diseases they cause, such as cancer. She was also a strong advocate of healthy nutrition. It was her greatest wish that a foundation be set up to fund independent research into these issues. We are proud to name this foundation the Dr. Johanna Budwig Foundation.
Warburg Hypothesis proven!
With the discovery of the Transketolase-like protein 1 (an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the TKTL1 gene) by Dr. Johannes Coy, both the Warburg Hypothesis and the scientific approach of Dr. Johanna Budwig were proven. That is the result of the following article published by scientists from the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.
